"I am 30 years old and have been working as a university
lecturer andresearcher for the last 10 years. My work
concentrates on helping to improve the lives of people
living with HIV/AIDS in the UK and Africa. I’m taking part
in the London to Paris bike ride because last year my mum
was diagnosed with cancer and I thought it would be a
good way to raise money for Breast Cancer Care as they helped support
her through a very hard time. It's an organisation that is very close to her
heart and one that offers free support, information and services to those
who need them most. I’m excited to be doing this challenge with my
close friends, my girlfriend Holly, her sister’s Jade and Sadie, her nephew
